Sunnyside United Methodist Church Cemetery
The cemetery is located on the south side of the church buildings and has been in use since 1883, the earliest recorded death date on a tomb stone. There are many notable people buried there including doctors, lawyers, teachers, farmers, and ministers as well as many children. Many of these are past leaders in the church. Based on electronic detection surveys, there are about 18 unmarked graves in the back of the cemetery. Records indicate that the back of the cemetery was initially used by non-church members for burial and the front used by members.
